SPACES DESIGN
The projects presented in this section represent only a small selection of the extensive architectural and design work I carried out over more than a decade in China.
Throughout these years, I had the opportunity to lead and collaborate on hundreds of projects across various scales and typologies — from hotel and residential developments to sports complexes, cultural and commercial facilities, indoor theme parks, and large-scale urban planning projects.
This experience allowed me to work on every stage of the design process — from the initial concept and master planning to architectural detailing and interior space design. Each project was approached as a unique dialogue between function, form, and context, always aiming to create spaces that are both visually strong and meaningful to the people who inhabit them.
The selection featured here only scratches the surface of that creative journey. It offers a glimpse into the diversity, scale, and ambition of the projects that have shaped my architectural vision, and continue to influence my photographic and artistic work today.
The Oriental Shanshui Complex is a large-scale cultural and tourism project that I designed as the lead concept architect. Located in Keqiao, Shaoxing (China), it covers a total surface area of 26 hectares and includes:An immersive theme park with over 547,000 m² of built area, organized into three main zones: Mountain Kingdom (indoor area) Water Kingdom (indoor area) Thrill Kingdom (outdoor area)A five-star hotel with more than 500 rooms, fully integrated into the complex: A grand double-height entrance lobby • Two banquet halls of 1,500 m² and 1,100 m² A conference center, spa, restaurants, and leisure facilitiesDesigned as a year-round destination, the complex combines monumental architecture with immersive spatial storytelling. The structures rely on steel framing without interior columns, allowing open and flexible volumes.
